As the year winds down I have been reflecting on what it means to recharge. I realize it means being able to slow down long enough to pay attention and listen to what our bodies need. In other words, making self care a priority.
Let's face it- we are so busy!! As a result, we put ourselves last on the priority list often neglecting even the most basic of needs. Sleep is a big one. When we practice self care, we commit to re-arranging that priority list with our needs at the top. We learn how to be compassionate with our self. We also learn that when we make time for what makes us feel good- more sleep, less drama, more fun, a yummy facial and massage - we are happier and actually have so much more to "give".
