One of the biggest challenges people share with me (Stephanie) on the path to creating more peace, love, happiness...abundance...is lack of clarity.
I started to reflect on the common threads and realized there are 3 big ones! Want to know? Can you guess? Okay here they are...the 3 Big Obstacles to Clarity: 1. Noisy Mind -Information overload, device addiction, negative self talk, constant judgment/analyzing/labeling 2. Not Asking "Relevant Questions" -Above prevents us from connecting to ourselves and a negative attitude/mindset won't foster the awareness needed to ask the relevant questions 3. Limiting Beliefs -Above (combined effect of #1 and #2) activate and re-activate limiting beliefs such as: I am not worthy/deserving/good enough Since every Obstacle is an Opportunity in disguise, here's what you can do: 1. Quiet the Mind 2. Start Asking Relevant Questions 3. Uncover, Release & Replace Limiting Beliefs You Got This! >>>Connect With Me For Support. Whether we are scheduling a massage for ourselves, or giving someone we care about the gift of massage with a gift certificate, it's a gift that keeps on giving.
Why? Other than the obvious physical healing benefits of massage, there are mental/emotional ones too: connection, self-care, someone who understands and listens...priceless, really. Maybe after our massage we feel relaxed, renewed, and re-filled and we are kinder to ourselves and each other. A recent comment from a client inspired this writing. Here's what Saba had to say...thank you Saba, thank you Jaxx: "I was in a lot of pain (hip) when I visited BWS. Jaxx had a thoughtful conversation with me prior to starting the massage and talked me through the massage. It helped to understand what she was doing and why. She was very professional yet compassionate. I found the whole process very therapeutic." -Saba >>>Book a Massage >>>Buy an Instant Gift Certificate Earlier today my (it's Stephanie here) husband was preparing a presentation for his first in person team meeting since starting his new job last year. Exciting and maybe a bit nerve wracking! I was asking him how he was feeling about it, and in the process he asked me to help him with a question. I was like, YES!
I always love a good challenge. Especially those I am invited to participate in! Anyway, the question he was grappling with was, "What is your 6 word memoir to share with the team as you introduce yourself (in person for the 1st time!)"? Right up my alley!!! I tried to calm down as I shared some examples to inspire him. I can be overly excited and energized when it comes to these topics. I encouraged him to think about how he wants to be remembered in this life...personally, professionally...it's all connected right? I shared my 6 word memoir which is now 2 words: "transform lives". After a little back and forth we came up with his (at least for now!). It is: "transformative presence inspiring integrity, loyalty, laughter". What is your six word memoir? Share it with others! It's inspiring and can become a map for how you want to live the rest of your life. I'd love to know yours! >>>Share It With Me Here Feeling unclear, disconnected, maybe even down? Take time for stillness. We live in a non-stop and noisy world. Over time this may drown out our own voice. In stillness lives your connection to yourself, your desires...your truth. One of our favorite ways to access stillness is with meditation. Another way...simply sit in silence and watch nature. Lately I've (Stephanie) been speaking a lot about meditation. More then ever, people need a retreat from their mind and the stress of daily living. I agree.
In the process of teaching and leading meditation, I have found the biggest obstacles to people starting and maintaining a consistent meditation practice is a result of 3 myths...or beliefs we tell ourselves. They are "excuses" in disguise. XO Top 3: 1. I have no time. 2. I am too anxious and can't sit still. 3. I keep having "too many" thoughts. Consider: 1. No time? We must create time for what matters. When something is a priority, we make time. We learn to let go of less important "things". Meditation doesn't have to take more than 5 minutes a day when starting out. When we get really good, living life in the present moment becomes the meditation. 2. If we are anxious and unable to sit still, it's a strong sign we would benefit from meditation. Less doing, more being. 3. As long as we're alive, we will have thoughts. The whole point of meditation is to come into right relationship with our thoughts so they don't control us!! Meditation practice teaches us how to discipline the mind. We learn how to create space between thoughts and decide which thoughts we wish to follow. Remember, thoughts are energy and what we think we become. Want to learn more and get support? >>>Email Me Here. |
