The more we practice self love, the more love (and patience, compassion, joy) we have to give others.
What is self love? It's many things. Examples include speaking kindly to ourself, listening to our needs and taking action on them, being patient with all that is unresolved in our heart.. I don't know about you, for me when I am truly loving myself, I am happiest. Why? Loving myself fills me up and I have SO much more to give to others. When I am giving to others I am happy. Especially during busy and trying times, one of the greatest tools we have is the ability to love ourself and extend that love to others. It's really one of the only things we can control. To support you I am sharing my 12-minute guided meditation below. In it I guide you on a journey of love to both clear your energy & cultivate gratitude for your life. Enjoy & share! >>>Listen Now One of the best experiences in life for all of us here at BWS is to provide space for Sanctuary.
This time of year, giving Sanctuary as a gift is a great way to show someone else you care about their well-being. Sanctuary gift certificates can be purchased for dollar amounts on-line below or in person. Our Sanctuary offerings range from therapeutic massage & relaxing massage to yummy facials, meditation, and uplifting energy balancing. Thank you for allowing us to be part of providing Sanctuary for body, mind & spirit. >>>Purchase Gift Certificates Gratitude Practice
Gratitude isn't something to celebrate only on Thanksgiving. For many of us, it's how we live, or strive to live. Being grateful is being joyful! Easy, no? I decided to come up with a simple game to help keep me on the path of gratitude. As I speak about in my book, Reclaiming JOY, how we are being (grateful or not, loving or not...) determines the quality of our doing...and this is how we experience life. It's a big deal!!! Here's the game: 1. Grab paper and pen (or your cell phone). 2. Set a timer for 5 minutes. 3. Write down as many kind words as possible about yourself that begin with the letter of your first name. (I.e. Stephanie: Still, Silly, Self-Loving). The key is to write words you "know" you are...and even more importantly, write words you wish to become. 4. For the rest of the year, look at this every morning and night. Add to it! Extra Credit: Share and play this game with a spouse, partner, child, friend, co-worker...etc. |
