Last week we spoke about the magic that happens when we use hot stones during massage. The hot stones nourish the body, while deeply relaxing the mind and rejuvenating the spirit. This week we want to share another way to connect body, mind, spirit: Yoga Therapy
Why? People are drowning in data, wisdom starved, sleep deprived, and tech ruled.This is taking a toll on body, mind, and spirit. Friends, we are not meant to live this way.
As any athlete or high performing individual will tell you, recovery is as important as training - and it’s the quality of the recovery that keeps us showing up at the level we aspire to.
So, how does yoga therapy help?

Light As A Feather by Stephanie
Have you ever noticed some of the greatest wisdom keepers, peace proponents and those who have endured excruciating circumstances often have an amazing sense of humor? They teach us to be light as a feather...so the winds of change carry us forward with ease rather than keep us stuck :)
Last night at our manifestation meditation I was reminded of this concept---that while we may have lots going on in our life, and in the global community at large, it's vital to find ways to let go, laugh, and lighten up.
More than ever the world needs us to be light... To help with this, I want to share a book I recently finished, Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. It was inspiring, enlightening, and a big time reminder to be light as a feather! I went from tears to laughter and everything in between. In truth, the words in this gift of a book brought me back to one of the teachings from Patanjali's 8 limbs of yoga that I aspire to experience, "a peace that passeth all understanding...bliss". I highly suggest reading this book. It now has a permanent place on my night table.

Lately during my (Stephanie's) personal meditation practice I've been receiving wisdom that current times call for a strengthening of community in to keep our energy positive & clear to continue bringing more beauty and light into the world.
On a personal level, positive & clear energy helps us birth our dreams into the world.
Whether we are looking to manifest a divine love partnership, fulfilling career, more money, vibrant health, a home, or perhaps a sense of peace and purpose, we need support. We are always co-creating-- both with each other and with the divine.
In this gathering Stephanie will lead you through a guided meditation & shamanic journey to help you manifest/bring forth that which you desire. You will receive an energetic boost so you continue to live from a place of high vibration energy.
We will start promptly at 6:30PM with a reading to connect into the group energy and release any obstacles on our path. Following will be the meditation and journey.

Meditation Myths by Stephanie
Lately I've been teaching & leading a lot of meditation. More then ever, people need a retreat from their mind and the stress of daily living. I agree.
In the process of teaching and leading meditation, I have found the biggest obstacles to people starting and maintaining a consistent meditation practice is a result of 3 myths...or beliefs we tell ourselves:
1. I have no time.
2. I am too anxious and can't sit still.
3. I keep having "too many" thoughts.
1. No time? Think opportunity to create time for what matters. When something is a priority, we make time. We learn to let go of less important "things". Meditationdoesn't have to take more than 5 minutes a day when starting out. When we get really good, living life in the present moment becomes the meditation.
2. If we are anxious and unable to sit still, it's a strong sign we would benefit from meditation. Less doing, more being.
3. As long as we're alive, we'll have thoughts. The whole point of meditation is to come into right relationship with our thoughts so they don't control us!! Meditation practice teaches us how to discipline the mind. We learn how to create space between thoughts and decide which thoughts we wish to follow. Remember, thoughts are energy and what we think we become.

Green Energy Smoothie
2 handfuls fresh organic baby spinach/kale
1 cucumber, chopped
1 handful fresh cilantro/parsley/mint or basil
Juice of 1 lime/lemon
1 stalk celery
1 small green apple (unpeeled) or 1/2 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
1 inch fresh ginger, chopped (optional)
1 cup pure water or unsweetened coconut water
1/2 - 1 cup ice (optional)
Blend all ingredients until they are liquefied (a juicer that does not extract but retains the pulp/fiber is your best method). You may also use bullet or blender.
Makes approximately 2 to 3 8-oz servings. Store remaining juice in glass mason jar. Top with lime/lemon juice and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
