As we have shared previously, when we opened Bronxville Wellness Sanctuary in 2011 we intentionally chose the word, "sanctuary" instead of "spa".
Why? Simple. Peter and I had a vision to provide not only awesome massage and facials, we also wanted to create a healing space. Our vision was and still is to create an environment that feels like a sanctuary: peaceful, safe, joy-filled, inspirational and educational...a place people come to renew and nourish body, mind and spirit.
Our vision led us to create 2 things-- our purpose and our mission. As many of you know, owning a business is a responsibility - both to ourselves and to all those we serve. We don't take it lightly. We felt in order to run a successful business, our vision had to inform 2 things for execution.
First, we wanted to create a purpose driven business. Purpose guides us. Purpose is the "why".
Second, we wanted to have a mission. Mission drives us. Mission is the "what".
While we speak about our purpose and mission often, we have not ever shared it publicly or put it in writing...until today.
Today, we want to share with you exactly this.
Why? First, because together we grow. Second, we want to inspire you! Our individual vision, purpose and mission fuels our business one. It's all connected :)
Our Purpose: We're here to guide and support one another further along on their personal journey.
Our Mission: To provide the space for all beings to thrive.
The path we choose to execute our purpose and mission is the "how". Our how continues to evolve and grow as we do. The "how" includes everything we offer from our services and workshops to our newsletter, writing and snacks. Everything we offer is mindfully guided by our purpose.
As we continue to evolve and walk this path with you, our offerings will expand. For example, I will be offering virtual programs and gatherings starting this month. As many of you know and already experience, the ability to connect from the comfort of your home, office, (or even a beach) is powerfully convenient in this time of busy-ness and constant motion.
We are deeply grateful to you and for you. Thank you for allowing us to share. It's a pleasure and a privilege.
